PONK MEMOLI

Life as an architect

I’m an award-winning Thai architect with a special interest in designing houses. I trained and practiced in Bangkok, Thailand – at IDIN Architects, before moving to the UK in 2014 – to pursue my MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship

With over 10 years of experience, I worked on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional. Some of my designs have been published in famous architectural media such as Archdaily, Architizer, and Interni. My projects also received multiple awards, including The American Architecture Prize 2017, The 2017 2A Continental Architectural Awards for Asia & Europe, and Architizer A+Award 2017 Jury Winner.

Fun fact: While working as an architect, I also ran my own restaurant chain, HAP de NOUS, in Bangkok, Thailand

Entrepreneur journey

During my master's study at University College London (UCL), I cofounded ChaTale, an online fine tea subscription service. The business won UCL Bright Ideas Award, China-UK Entrepreneurial Challenge, and UCL Advances Idea Accelerator Competition.

In 2016, I founded ARCHiTRACKER, a mapping app to help architecture lovers discover the most interesting architecture nearby and experience cities from new perspectives.

I organised Southeast Asia’s first architectural open-house event, Bangkok Bound, in 2019 – with more than 1,500 attendees.

Throughout my career, I was frustrated by how hard it was for multiple experts working on a project to collaborate and communicate effectively. In Sep 2021, I cofounded HTCH. The mission is to modernise how architects and teams design buildings together.
